Samsung’s latest 200MP camera sensor, the ISOCELL HP5, is already in demand, as Oppo is rumored to use this sensor for its Oppo Find X9 Pro smartphone.
The Korean tech giant is looking forward to introducing its next-generation 200MP camera sensor, which is expected to debut on a rival’s flagship smartphone before any Galaxy device. Previously, it was reported that Oppo plans to integrate Samsung’s ISOCELL camera sensor in its flagship Find X9 lineup.
Now, a new report from a reliable tipster, Digital Chat Station, revealed that Oppo’s Find X9 Pro will feature a triple rear camera setup, including a 50MP primary sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide shooter, and a 200MP periscope telephoto camera.
The key fact of the report is that the phone’s periscope telephoto lens will use Samsung’s upcoming ISOCELL HP5 sensor. Reportedly, it is a 200MP, 28nm sensor coupled with 0.5μm pixels and a 1/1.56-inch optical size. The sensor also supports DCG-HDR (Dual Conversion Gain HDR). If the leaked specs come into existence, then it will be a quite large sensor, especially for periscope telephoto, as compared to the ½.52-inch sensor available in the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
If the report comes true, then the Oppo Find X9 Pro will be the first smartphone to feature Samsung’s latest camera sensor. Currently, there are no words regarding whether Samsung will use this sensor in any of its upcoming Galaxy flagships, but it will be interesting to see what happens next.
