Samsung One UI 8.5: Features, Release, Eligible Devices, and more

Samsung One UI 8.5 rumours have already started growing up since April month, when the audience first got to know that One UI will be getting a major jump after One UI 8, replacing traditional One UI x.1 and x.1.1 versions entirely.

For years, Samsung has followed a significant pattern of releasing the standard One UI x.0, which is then followed by One UI x.1 and One UI x.1.1, respectively.

However, time seems to be changing soon, as Samsung appears to be taking a major bump of introducing One UI 8.5 build. For your information, Samsung first released One UI x.5 version four years ago as One UI 2.5, where the company considered this update as the most significant one that brings certain noticeable features and upgrades when compared to the other incremental updates One UI x.1 and One UI x.1.1.

Beyond this, One UI x.5 version is making a comeback, which is already tipped to debut with the next generation Galaxy S26 series next year. At the same time, the rumoured build is also supposed to run Android 16 on top, thus consisting of more or less similar functionalities as of Android 16 but with some noticeable upgrades and enhancements, out of the box.

Well, it’s obvious that the final approval will arrive from Samsung’s side regarding One UI 8.5 version, since the company is yet to make any official announcements.

Also, Samsung One UI 8.5 is supposed to run on several Galaxy devices, probably similar to the One UI 8 devices; here’s is the possible list:
