Samsung has recently released One UI 8 Beta 3 for the Galaxy S25 series that came along with several important bug fixes and other relevant improvements for the devices. At the same time, the update primarily added a new Back Swipe Preview feature to the labs and here’s what the feature is and how it works.
Usually, beta builds are more or less prone to bugs and are not very smooth or stable to be installed on the primary device. But the update apparently came up with various key bug fixes that eventually aimed to offer a more refined and efficient device’s performance and functionality.
In addition to the bug fixes, One UI 8 Beta 3 further added a new Back Swipe Preview, a feature that is designed for the users to show a preview of the Swipe they will go back to when they start swiping from the edge of the Swipe. More specifically, users will get the preview of the previous Swipe before they could completely perform the back swipe gesture from the edge of the phone’s Swipe.
Beyond this, the newly-added function significantly makes navigation smoother and more convenient every time, while also enhancing multitasking. However, the new Back Swipe Preview feature is currently placed under the Labs and thus, the feature is experimental at this point in time.
Meanwhile, users can easily enable this function by performing a few steps: just enter into the Settings app >> Advanced features >> Labs >> Finally, Tap to turn on the Back swipe preview.
Well, Samsung is currently only focusing on providing One UI 8 beta builds for the Galaxy S25 series models, while the company is expected to expand the One UI 8 beta program for more eligible Galaxy phones in the coming future.
