Music lovers on Android Auto get ready for a next level music listening experience! Google already started working towards improving and enhancing Android Auto owners via Spotify’s new Jam feature.
Basically, the Jam feature allows multiple Spotify users to tune in together in real-time and from now on Android Auto’s Spotify has started getting the feature within the music platform’s Now Playing screen (via 9To5Google).
At the same time, a previous report already mentioned that Android Auto is already getting ready for an awesome multimedia experience. And now, it looks like Spotify is allowing users to take full benefit of Android Auto’s amazing Jam experience directly from their car’s display.
More specifically, found with the latest version of the Spotify for Android app v9.0.58.596. Also, it’s interesting that the newest version of Spotify brings a bunch of changes.
First up, the Library gets the most important Downloaded section, allowing users to listen to the music that’s only available offline. Next up, the biggest and most stunning addition is the new Spotify Jam feature, which is placed in the Now Playing screen, where when music is playing, Android Auto display will significantly shows a QR code that allows users to scan and join the Jam session, while also providing the ability to add music tracks to the shared queue.
The person who is driving acts as a host and can control the Jam session and also gets the ability to remove anyone at any time. Also, the app’s UI receives a subtle change, which now has a new floating search button, allowing easier access to a dedicated search page for Spotify.
Well, this is the first time when the stunning Spotify Jam feature is making its way to Android Auto, allowing users to tune in to their favorite music and have a much more immersive in-car experience. However, there’s a small catch, to begin or host Spotify Jam, users need a Spotify Premium subscription, at the same time, free users can easily join the Jam and add songs to it.
