Samsung has initiated the July 2025 security patch for the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S24 from South Korea now it has started expanding rapidly to more countries and ultimately it will be available worldwide.
As of writing the Samsung’s July 2025 security update for Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S24 are spotted in more Asian countries including India and UAE. Users who own these devices in the mentioned countries should start getting update notifications.
For identification the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S24 are getting a new update with the firmware version number BYF1 and BYG1 respectively.
The July 2025 security patch for the Galaxy devices brought several new changes which exclusively provided the security related enhancements. Apart from there, you can also expect some other change to fix the known issues and get smoother performance.
If you are using the Galaxy S25 or Galaxy S24 in the above mentioned counties then you can now install the update by going to the software update from the system settings of your devices. As Galaxy S25 is running in the One UI 8 testing, the S24 should also get the update in the next few days. For these devices the July 2025 should be the last update before getting the One UI 8.
