Samsung Pushes July 2025 Security Update to Galaxy A55 5G

Samsung is putting some significant efforts into making the latest July 2025 security update available for all the Galaxy devices across the world. Meanwhile, the Galaxy A55 5G units have started receiving the update in the European markets.

More specifically, the Galaxy A55 units have been identified with the version number A556BXXS9BYF3 and are now available in some parts of Europe, while it’s expected that Samsung will expand the update for more Galaxy A55 models in other countries in the near future.

As usual, Samsung’s monthly security updates, however, don’t bring any major features and changes, but they significantly focus on improving the device’s overall security and core functionality. Similarly, the July security update packs a handful of fixes for all the security vulnerabilities that were addressed in the previous version in order to offer a more secure user experience, while also keeping the device protected against sophisticated threats.

At the same time, the update adds stability to the entire system behavior for efficient functionality and brings certain performance optimizations that eventually lead to a smooth, stable, and optimized experience for the users.

Well, the A series’ Galaxy A55 is eligible to receive the One UI 8 update, as Samsung is progressively working on the latest Android 16-based One UI 8 version. At the same time, the Galaxy S25 series is currently testing the beta builds. Therefore, the Galaxy A55 units will receive the update once the stable rollout begins.
