Samsung Galaxy S26 Edge will replace the Plus variant from the Galaxy S26 series, which is expected to have a 500 mAh battery upgrade compared to its predecessor, the Galaxy S25 Edge.
The Korean tech giant is actively working on its next-generation Galaxy S26 series, which will debut sometime between January and February next year. The series will include three variants with brand-new names; for instance, the base model will be Galaxy S26 Pro, the middle one will be Galaxy S26 Edge, and then the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
Last week, it was reported that the Samsung Galaxy S26 Edge will have a 4,200mAh battery, and the base model, the Galaxy S26 Pro, will have a 4,300mAh battery; however, the report was based on leaks, and there was no official statement regarding these battery capacities.
Meanwhile, a new report shared by a tipster, Setsuna Digital, on Weibo, claims that Samsung is looking forward to offering a battery upgrade to the upcoming Galaxy S26 Edge, as it will have a 4,400mAh battery.
Whereas its predecessor, the Galaxy S25 Edge, has a 3,900mAh battery with 25W wired and 15W wireless charging support. If the present report comes true, then the next-gen Galaxy S26 Edge will have a 500mAh bigger battery. However, Samsung hasn’t revealed any official details regarding the battery specifications of the Galaxy S26 series yet, so it remains to be seen whether the battery predictions (4,200mAh or 4,400mAh) will come true.
