Exynos 1680-Powered Galaxy A57 Appears in Early Test

Samsung is now working on the next mid-range Galaxy A57 smartphone to launch, which has now been spotted on Benchmark, revealing the Exynos 1680 chipset.

Earlier this year, Samsung launched a bunch of Galaxy A-series smartphones, including the Galaxy A56, Galaxy A36, and Galaxy A26. Today, it introduced the Galaxy A17 5G in the European market and is also expected to launch the 4G variant soon.

On the other hand, the company is also working on one more smartphone under the Galaxy A-series called the Galaxy A57. A few months back, it was reported that under the hood, Samsung is working on the Galaxy A57 with Exynos.

Now the new device has made its existence known on a verified Geekbench certification with the model number S5E8865 ERD, which likely refers to an early prototype of the Galaxy A57. According to the listing, the device is powered by the Exynos 1680 chipset paired with Samsung’s recently rumored Xclipse 550 GPU. Currently, only a single OpenCL score of the device has been listed.

The listing also hints that the device will run Android 16-based One UI 8 out of the box and will have 8 GB of RAM. Apart from this, there are no major details regarding the device that have been mentioned in the listing. On the side, Samsung has yet to confirm the existence of the device, so it’s hard to predict the launch date and specifications of the device, at least for now.
