Galaxy A17 5G Goes Official in Europe

Samsung launched its long-rumored mid-range Galaxy A17 5G smartphone, powered by the in-house Exynos 1330 SoC chipset, in the European market. Let’s take a closer look at the specs, price, and availability of the device. 

Finally, the Korean tech giant has officially introduced the Galaxy A17 5G variant as the successor of the Galaxy A16 5G, currently in selected markets. It measures 164.4 x 77.9 x 7.5 mm and weighs 192 grams.

The device is powered by the Exynos 1330 chipset, integrated with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, and runs Android 15-based One UI 7. It comes with an IP54-rated build to prevent dust and water ingress.

It features a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 90 Hz. Samsung equipped the device with a 50MP primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture and autofocus, along with a 2-megapixel f/2.2 macro camera and a 13MP selfie camera. It packs a 5,000 mAh battery with 25 W wired fast charging support.

Samsung offered several connectivity options to the device, including 5G, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, and USB Type-C.

Price and Availability

The Galaxy A17 5G costs €239 (Around $279) and it is available only in Europe for pre-order via the Samsung Store in three color options, including Black, Blue, and Grey. Samsung will start shipping the device on August 11.
