Google has adopted an incredible approach towards Android Auto, the best driving companion for all Android smartphone owners, in that the company is going to provide an improved and enhanced future of driving. Meanwhile, a recent report claims that the company is working on making the app’s access faster and more convenient in Android Auto.
Android Auto is basically designed to only focus on the road while driving, but when you want to access any specific Android Auto app from the app drawer on the car’s display and you have multiple apps, it becomes a hassle to search for a desired app. Thankfully, it looks like things are changing, according to a report by Android Authority.
According to the report, Google appeared to be allegedly working on the expansion of the number of apps that users see at a glance on the screen when diving deep into the newest Android Auto 15.0 version (which is yet to be released).
In other words, the latest version displayed an upgraded app grid layout that could show up to seven columns of apps, while so far, Android Auto can typically display (also depending upon the car’s display size) four to five app columns in the app drawer at a time.
At the same time, Android Auto displaying seven columns of apps will make the app hunt easier, faster, and more convenient. However, it’s important to note that the number of app columns that are seen will completely depend on the screen size of the car’s head unit. At one point, users could also be able to see quick controls such as music and call shortcuts alongside the upgraded app grid layout display of seven app columns.
Well, Google has not officially stated any detail regarding the expanded app grid layout of Android Auto, but hopefully, users could perhaps see the changes in the coming updates.
