Samsung has expanded the availability of the Galaxy Tab Active 5 by launching it in the Indian market as the Enterprise Edition, following the USA release.
In February 2024, Samsung launched the Galaxy Tab Active 5 in the US market. Now, after a long leap, the company has introduced the Enterprise Edition of the tablet in the Indian market; let’s take a closer look at the specifications.
The rugged tablet features an 8-inch LCD display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution. To add an extra layer of protection to the device, Samsung offered IP68 water and dust resistance and MIL-STD-810H military durability standards, while the screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 5, and the S Pen has an IP68 rating.
The device is powered by the in-house Exynos 1380 chipset, integrated with 6GB & 8GB of RAM, and runs Android 15-based One UI 7 out of the box. The company promised seven major Android updates for the device, which means it will receive Android 21 as its last major update.
The camera packages include a 13MP rear and a 5MP front camera. Its tablet has a removable 5,050 mAh battery and supports storage expansion up to 1 TB via microSD. For connectivity options, it has 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, GPS, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB-C port.
Samsung offered two storage variants of the device, including 6GB of RAM + 128GB of internal storage and 8GB of RAM + 256GB of internal storage. It also includes a Knox Suite Enterprise Security Platform Subscription for 12 months, worth INR 4,515, for free. With a starting price of INR 49,999, advance bookings for the device are open now.
