Exclusive: Galaxy Tri-Fold Appears in Korean Safety Certification Listing

Samsung is anticipated to introduce its first-ever tri-fold phone, the Galaxy Tri Fold, by the end of this year, and now the device has been spotted on the Safety Korea certification, hinting at a near launch.

Last month at the July Unpacked 2025 event, Samsung launched a bunch of its latest foldable phones, including the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, and Galaxy Z Flip FE. Meanwhile, under the hood, the firm has been working on its first tri-fold phone for so long.

Recently, Samsung, during the Q2 2025 earnings call, announced that it is looking forward to introducing more of the latest Galaxy devices by the end of this year, including the Galaxy Tri Fold; however, it hasn’t mentioned the exact timeline for the launch but confirmed the device will arrive this year.

Now, the upcoming Galaxy Tri-Fold phone has appeared on the verified Safety Korea (KTR) certification with the dedicated model number SM-F968N. However, apart from the model number, the listing hasn’t revealed any major or specific details regarding the device.

A few months back, the device had already appeared on the BIS certification. According to previous reports, the device is expected to feature a silicon-carbon battery and will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, a 10-inch OLED display, and a triple camera setup, including a 200MP primary, a 12MP ultrawide, and a 10MP telephoto sensor at the back, and a 10MP selfie camera at the front. The official specs sheet of the device is yet to be revealed, so it remains to be seen exactly what new novelties the device will bring.
