Galaxy Watch Ultra Receives Fresh Update Following Stable One UI 8 Watch Release

While Samsung’s latest Galaxy Watch 8 and Watch 8 Classic debuted with One UI 8 Watch out of the box, the previous generation, the Galaxy Watch Ultra, is among the first to receive the stable One UI 8 Watch update. Meanwhile, Samsung is now delivering a new software update for the Galaxy Watch Ultra units.

Starting with its hometown, South Korea, Samsung is rolling out new software immediately after releasing the stable One UI 8 Watch version for the Galaxy Watch Ultra models, which significantly integrates the latest August 2025 security patch. And it’s expected to reach more eligible regions over the coming weeks.

Specifically, the latest firmware for the Galaxy Watch Ultra has been identified with the version number L705NKOS1BYH6. At the same time, the update, however, doesn’t integrate any major features and changes; rather, it significantly brings certain improvements to the wearable’s security and overall behavior. This eventually provides a smoother, more secure, and more stable user experience.

Well, the Watch Ultra owners have already been enjoying the stable Wear OS 6-based One UI 8 Watch update for a while now, which is leveraged with a host of new and significant features that are focused on improving users’ health and well-being via the Samsung Health app, including Bedtime Guidance, Vascular Load, Running Coach, and the Antioxidant Index feature.

Nevertheless, Samsung is targeting a global audience for growing its Samsung Health app’s popularity worldwide. At the same time, the app has just surpassed 10 million monthly active users only in its home country, South Korea, and is making many more efforts to bring some extraordinary health-based features that power AI to provide a convenient and more efficient performance.
