Samsung’s Wear OS 6-based One UI 8 Watch, designed for the Galaxy Watch ecosystem, is currently running in its beta phase, but the company has already announced that the stable version for all the eligible Galaxy Watches will arrive by the end of this year. Since the Galaxy Watch Ultra models were the first to receive the stable update; however, Watch 7 models are still getting the beta update, and now, it’s time for One UI 8 Watch beta 3.
Samsung delivers One UI 8 Watch Beta 3 for Galaxy Watch 7, before heading towards stable version
To recall, the Galaxy Watch 8 series debuted with the stable One UI 8 Watch version, out of the box. At the same time, the company initiated the One UI 8 Watch beta program for the Galaxy Watch 7 as well as Galaxy Watch Ultra models. Whereas the stable update has already been distributed for the Watch Ultra models, the Watch 7 models received the One UI 8 Watch beta 2 update, in particular.
Meanwhile, it’s surprising! Samsung is delivering One UI 8 Watch beta 3 for the Galaxy Watch 7 units, in South Korea and the USA. More specifically, the newest One UI 8 Watch beta 3 for Galaxy Watch 7 comes with a new version number, ZYHA.
Interestingly, the One UI 8 Watch beta 3 update significantly adds a few improvements and enhancements. It apparently improves the issues where the GPS detection is progressing late when resuming exercise after pausing it, while also improving the accuracy of the function that shows the hiking routes. At the same time, the update further fixes the issue where the watch’s screen doesn’t turn off when the watch is kept on charging with the charger slightly tilted vertically.
Not just this, it’s noticeable that the latest beta 3 update for the Galaxy Watch 7 models significantly integrates the latest August 2025 security patch that certainly improves the overall wearable’s performance and functionality in order to provide a more secure user experience, while the previous update brought up the older May patch.
Well, Samsung’s Galaxy Watch 7 units have already hit three One UI 8 Watch beta builds, which eventually suggests that there are few more optimizations left out before releasing the stable version. Hopefully, Samsung could release the stable One UI 8 Watch update for the Galaxy Watch 7 models next.
