Samsung’s XR Headset & Smart Glasses may Be Controlled via Glasses Manager App

Samsung’s upcoming XR Headset and Smart Glasses are expected to launch in the near future. Settings of these devices, while paired to a PC or smartphone, are supposed to be managed by an app, whose name may have just surfaced online.

Samsung has already announced that it will launch its first XR headset, codenamed Project Moohan, by the end of this year; however, the exact launch date is rumored to be September 29. Whereas its smart glasses are expected to launch as early as 2026.

The company hasn’t revealed any details regarding how these devices will be managed, especially while pairing them with a PC or smartphone. Meanwhile, a report (via) suggests Samsung has filed for a trademark on the term “Glasses Manager” in South Korea this week under application number 4020250157259, accessible via KIPRIS

The description of the trademark mentions its applicability to “headsets for virtual reality experiences” and “software for setting/controlling/rating smart glasses and augmented reality headsets and virtual reality headsets.” This hints that the devices could be managed by the app called Glasses Manager.

However, the application for this trademark has yet to be granted, but given that it was filed only recently, it should only be a matter of time before it’s granted, well before the launch of the devices. Currently, there’s not a single official report regarding this trademark that has come into existence, so it remains to be seen whether this report will come true.
