Samsung Galaxy users, get ready for an enhanced traveling experience, as Now Live Notification could be integrated with Uber on One UI 8.
The Live Notification offers real-time, interactive updates for ongoing activities directly on your phone’s lock screen or status bar, for instance, music playback, sports scores, or stopwatches. Now, one of our reliable colleagues, SammyGuru, revealed that Samsung is looking forward to integrating Uber with Live Notification in One UI 8.
According to the report, an unreleased build has come into existence, which confirms that soon, Live Notification will support Uber, all thanks to the Android 16 API. With this new integration, you can track your ride without even jumping back into the ride sharing app every single time.
Reportedly, the integration was spotted in an internal One UI 8 build for the Galaxy A34 smartphone. However, it’s yet to be fully enabled, as there’s only a toggle in the relevant settings menu right now, but at least it shows that the groundwork is being laid for the eventual rollout of the feature.
It will be interesting to see exactly how the notification itself will look and what relevant information it may display from the Uber app, but it seems that the feature is going to make lives easier for a whole lot of users.
