Samsung Adds Bubble Emoji Feature to Messages App for More Expressive Texts

Samsung is working on making its proprietary messaging app, Samsung Messages, a little more enjoyable and useful for its Galaxy audience as the company is rolling out an interesting update.

A while ago, Samsung started promoting Google Messages and insisting Galaxy owners use the service as a primary messaging app instead of Samsung Messages; meanwhile, the company is continuing to support its dedicated app and is still providing new updates to offer an interactive texting experience to the users.

Now, Samsung has been spotted rolling out a new update for the Messages app, which surprisingly added an all-new Bubble Emoji feature, thus adding more fun and enjoyment when texting to friends or family. However, it appears like the Bubble Emoji feature remains exclusive to Samsung’s home country, South Korea, at least for now. Thanks to @herjy6372 for the screenshots! (via – SamMobile)

When enabling Samsung Messages’ newly added feature, an emoji will automatically be added to the text the user has sent, while the most interesting part here is that the Messages app will apparently add an emoji on the basis of the context of the text sent, reducing the need to select an emoji manually, which sounds amazing! On the comparison side, Google Messages offers users the ability to add reactions to the sent texts via emojis; however, it can only be done manually.

At the same time, in case you are a South Korea resident and own a Galaxy S25, then in order to try out the new Bubble Emoji feature, you just need to open the Samsung Messages app, tap on the three dots, select Settings, and lastly, tap on the Chat settings to turn on the feature.

Well, the newly added Bubble Emoji feature of Samsung Messages is now available on the current high-end devices, the Galaxy S25 family; however, it still remains to be seen whether Samsung expands the feature to other older-generation Galaxy devices over the coming future.
