Samsung keeps certain apps exclusive to the China-based Galaxy phones, with the most recent being the Samsung Auto, an Android Auto alternative. Now, another app has just made it into the spotlight, named Collection, which is, however, limited to the Chinese market, but global users can also try it themselves via a quick turnaround.
Since the apps remain officially exclusive to Chinese Galaxy phones, it’s slightly difficult to operate them outside China, but guess what! Just like Samsung Auto service, the Galaxy community can easily try out the newly released Collection app outside its origin country. Thanks to GalaxyTechie for the details!
Samsung Collection and Intelligent Drag & Drop are here to try out!
Basically, Samsung just introduced an all-new Collection app, which is officially exclusive to China-based Galaxy phones running One UI 6 (Android 14) or higher versions. More specifically, this app is just a unique management corner that significantly holds a collection of texts, documents, pictures, text-to-speech, and much more to provide quick access from a single app. Also, users can get these categorized on the basis of their content type and from where they originate.
At the same time, the Collection app apparently allows users to add content in the app, for which users need to choose and share the item in the Collection app. Alongside this, the app also consists of Google Gemini and Google Lens shortcuts.
Intelligent Drag & Drop:
Further, Samsung has also added an ultimate management and multitasking tool called Intelligent Drag and Drop, where users can easily collect content from anywhere, and Galaxy AI will automatically create more organized information with summaries, while Intelligent Drag and Drop lets users drag and share things with ease; just tap and hold the document, share it with any app shown on the screen, and the AI will do the rest.
Whereas the Collection assistant, which is powered by Galaxy AI, can even summarize immediately via any saved content. To do so, just open Settings >> Advanced features >> Collection >> Add shortcuts, and lastly, launch the app from the screen. Additionally, to perform intelligent drag-and-drop settings, add the button in the quick panel and long-press to open.
It’s important to note that the Collection app is efficiently working through the APK, except for the intelligent drag and drop that only works inside the app. However, this is supposed to get fixed in the next update, allowing Galaxy users to use the intelligent drag and drop inside any app.
