Samsung Prepares Massive Update for Galaxy S25 Series Before Stable Release

Slowly and steadily, Samsung is moving towards the One UI 8 stable release for the Galaxy S25 series, but before that, it appears like the company is preparing to release a massive update for the S25 family; however, it’s not what you expected!

The Galaxy S25 series is all set to receive the stable Android 16-based One UI 8 update, starting this month; meanwhile, a recent report claims that before heading towards the stable release, Samsung will be delivering a regular monthly security update for the Galaxy S25 family, and not just this, this update in question is supposed to be a massive one due to its huge size.

Basically, according to the report, it looks like, for the one last time, Samsung will be reportedly dispatching the final One UI 7-based update (September patch) monthly security update before moving towards the official One UI 8 version.

At the same time, this monthly patch is allegedly supposed to have a massive update installation size of over 1GB. However, Samsung has never revealed any detail regarding its monthly security updates; thus, it’s next to impossible to predict anything related to the upcoming version. And this is not the first time Samsung will be taking a step forward in rolling out a massive update without any major Android OS or One UI version.

Nevertheless, the reason is still unknown for why Samsung has planned to release a monthly security update for the Galaxy S25 series when it’s the month for the One UI 8 stable release.
