Galaxy S23 series gets One UI 8 Beta-based on Android 16 in the US

After initiating the One UI 8 beta expansion for the Galaxy S24 series alongside Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 models, Samsung has moved forward to delivering the latest One UI 8 beta program for more Galaxy devices, and now, the Galaxy S23 family has started testing the latest beta in the US as well.

Specifically, the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra units have already received the update in other countries, including South Korea, the UK, and India; meanwhile, the update just reached the US and is currently available for the carrier-unlocked devices in the country. It’s expected to reach more units across the US over the coming days.

One UI 8 Beta Now Available for Galaxy S23 Series In the US

At the same time, the latest Android 16-based One UI 8 beta for the unlocked Galaxy S23 models has been identified with an all-new version number, ZYHC

Most primarily, the update carries a package installation size of over 3GB, which clearly suggests that Samsung has added some new and interesting features alongside a bunch of essential bug fixes and other relevant improvements that not just help in refining the overall user experience, but also, the company has optimized certain features for a smoother and better functionality than before.

Further, the latest One UI 8 beta is a perfect chance to have an early look at the newly added features and enhancements alongside some key functionalities that are powered by Android 16. Despite new features, the newest version further adds upgraded security, productivity, and accessibility.

Nevertheless, Samsung has integrated the latest September 2025 security patch that further adds additional security to the entire system behavior to provide a more secure user experience.

Well, Samsung has moved towards making the latest Android 16-powered One UI 8 beta program available to more older Galaxy devices, other than the Galaxy S25 series. Since the stable version is scheduled for this month, it’s possible that Samsung could release the stable update, starting with the S25 family, anytime soon.
