Samsung Galaxy users, here’s a notice for you: Galaxy Store will be down for in-app purchases on September 17th, which will prevent you from buying, subscribing, or taking advantage of a promo.
Samsung has its own exclusive app store called Galaxy Store for its Galaxy devices, offering apps, games, themes, watch faces, and more, including a few exclusive content and benefits not found on Google Play.
Now the company has released a notice regarding the Galaxy Store being down. According to the notice, the one-hour downtime on September 17, from 5 PM to 6 PM PDT, will only affect in-app purchases, new sign-ups, and certain promotions.
Noticeably, the rest of the Galaxy Store will keep working as usual, which means you will still be able to install and update applications, but payments will be temporarily offline. Although in the recent four weeks, Samsung has already confirmed Galaxy Store downtime twice, this is the third time. Last time, the company shut down the store on August 26, which ended up being the biggest disruption so far, and it lasted nearly three hours and took down the entire service, including the web storefront.
Samsung points out a few facilities that won’t be available during the upcoming downtime, as mentioned below:
- All subscription-related features, such as sign-ups, plan changes, cancellation of existing subscriptions, and more, will be unavailable.
- In-app purchases and participation in specific promotions will not be available.
You can easily purchase regular paid content, such as paid apps, themes, and fonts. Promotion points from activities completed before maintenance will be credited sequentially after the maintenance, and games & ongoing subscription services will remain available without interruption.
