Samsung Keeps the S Pen Alive with the Galaxy S26 Ultra

Samsung’s S Pen has been a signature factor for its flagship devices for years, especially the “Ultra” models of the S series, in particular. Among various controversies, the company is reverting the S Pen with the Galaxy S26 Ultra, though.

Indeed, the S Pen has been a serious matter of discussion in the recent past, and to recall, fans will discover several controversial topics have been regarding the same.

Basically, the S Pen is not just a simple stylus; it comes with a bunch of key features, including Bluetooth support. However, Samsung has removed Bluetooth support from the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s S Pen, disconnecting various essential functionalities from the stylus.

Although there were certain reports that a Bluetooth-enabled S Pen will be sold separately and will be compatible with the S25 Ultra, that doesn’t happen. And as a result, this topic has taken the shape of a serious controversy among the entire Galaxy fan community.

At the same time, the newly launched Galaxy Tab S11 series’ Ultra model, the Tab S11 Ultra, features a unique design with a hexagonal-shaped S Pen instead of the normal one. Also, it’s leaked that Samsung will ditch the S Pen from its first ever tri-fold, which is said to be arriving by the end of this year, and even the Galaxy Z Fold 7 doesn’t come with the S Pen.

Alongside, a few reports allegedly claimed that the Galaxy S26 Ultra is supposed to be the last flagship to support the S Pen; meanwhile, a recently leaked picture (via UniverseIce ) apparently brings the spotlight back on the original S Pen for the Galaxy S series’ Ultra model.

However, the shared picture significantly shows the S Pen whole, suggesting that Samsung is still sticking to the idea of reverting the S Pen back with the upcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra, but it remains to be seen whether the S Pen comes with its full potential or ditches a few key features.

Well, previous rumors certainly suggested the first glimpse of the upcoming flagship trio, the Galaxy S26 ProGalaxy S26 Edge, and Galaxy S26 Ultra, where the Pro and Ultra models look very identical to their predecessors; however, the Galaxy S26 Edge appears to be something different.
