Galaxy S25 Edge starts receiving Android 16-based stable One UI 8.0

Beginning with the beta participants, Samsung has started rolling out the stable One UI 8 update for all the Galaxy S25 series. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S25 Edge models are receiving the stable version.

Although Samsung has opened up the One UI 8 beta program for the Galaxy S25 series and not for the S25 Edge units, at the same time, the fifth member of the Galaxy S25 family is already getting the stable version, starting from the home country, South Korea.

Meanwhile, the latest stable firmware for the Galaxy S25 Edge has been identified with the version number S937NKSU2BYI3.

Since the official changelog doesn’t mention any significant features or changes, the huge package installation of over 3GB apparently suggests that the latest update adds some exceptional features that will provide more upgraded security, stability, productivity, and accessibility for a next-level experience, which is topped up with various key features from Android 16.

At the same time, the update further integrates the September 2025 security patch that strengthens the overall system security to provide a more efficient and secure behavior, while also protecting the device against potential threats or risks.

For now, Samsung is dispatching the stable One UI 8 version for the Galaxy S25 Edge models in its hometownand is expected to follow more major regions like the US and more over the course of time. Till then, the S25 Edge owners can now download the latest stable version on their devices to enjoy the latest features and changes.
