Indeed Google has constantly offered some exciting upgrades or features to enhance users’ in-car entertainment experience via its best Android Auto service. However, it’s been a tradition that Android Auto is prone to bugs; meanwhile, the latest version is causing issues with the music player widget, but it can be fixed anyway.
Basically, Android Auto’s music player widget conveniently allows users to see and control the currently playing music, whereas a tap on the widget pops up the entire music app the user is using.
At the same time, several users have compiled an issue regarding Android Auto’s music player widget. They took it to the Reddit platform to inform them that the text on the media window of Android Auto appears to be washed out, which makes it difficult to read. (via Android Police)
Others posted that the bug causing the music player widget issue is occurring due to the light theme being enabled by default; this certainly brings a lighter background with texts also appearing in white. Thankfully, this could possibly be fixed by turning on dark mode along with headlights.
It’s important to note that this issue is occurring with Android Auto version 15.2, which is running in the beta channel. Thus, users need to enter the Google Play Store and leave the beta program and revert to the latest stable version, Android Auto 15.0.
Other than that, the ideal way to fix the music player widget issue is to uninstall all the latest updates that are applied to the Android Auto app. Also, users can further look at disabling the automatic updates, and this will ensure that you are not facing the issue once you are connected online.
