Samsung drops September 2025 Security Update for a few Galaxy devices in Europe

Samsung’s update rollout process is a perfect treat to watch, and indeed the Korean tech giant stands at the top spot when it comes to delivering the updates for its devices among all other Android partners. Meanwhile, the company is currently continuing with the September 2025 security update for a few Galaxy devices in Europe.

The ongoing September 2025 security update is now available for a few Galaxy devices, including the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S22 series alongside the Galaxy A34. Currently, the update for all the devices has been spotted in Europe and will be expanded to more eligible countries.

First up, the latest firmware for the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra is identified with the version numbers S911BXXS8DY13, S916BXXS8DY13, and S918BXXS8DY13, respectively, while the Galaxy S22 series comes with the S90*BXXSIFYI3 version number.

At the same time, the Galaxy A34’s September security patch has been recognized with the version number A346BXXSBDYI1.

According to Samsung’s September 2025 security update details, the newest patch, however, doesn’t bring any major features and changes, but it significantly focuses on improving the system security and core functionality. It comes with a host of bug fixes for all the security issues that were acknowledged in the previous version to provide a more secure user experience, while also protecting the device against potential threats.

Also, the update further adds stability improvements to the entire system behavior and brings certain performance optimizations for a smooth, stable, and efficient user experience.
