Samsung Display is becoming a key supplier of QD-OLED panels for Asus’ broadcast-grade monitor, following the gaming and professional monitors.
Samsung Display is one of the leading brands in the market, providing cutting-edge display solutions with OLED and QD-OLED technology. On the other hand, it seems that Asus’s ties to Samsung Display are growing closer, as in the past, the Korean tech giant has already infused its QD-OLED display panels for Asus gaming monitors, and now it is offering them for a broadcast-grade monitor.
Asus announced that it has debuted its latest ProArt OLED PA27USD broadcast-grade monitor, which features Samsung’s QD-OLED panel with a refresh rate of 240 Hz, 4K resolution, and a 1,000-nit peak brightness.
According to Asus, the panel has several notable specifications, such as 10-bit color depth, 99% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut, a color accuracy of a Delta E value of less than one, and support for HDR10 and HLG. It’s the second time that Samsung is offering its QD-OLED panels to Asus. The ProArt OLED PA27USD is a broadcast-grade monitor and offers a 12G SDI port, which is efficient for broadcasting companies.
Recently, it’s been reported that Samsung Display is also gearing up to supply OLED panels for Apple’s MacBook Pro. It also lands the Tesla OLED contract for potential robot applications, starting in 2027. All of these reports suggest that the company already has big plans for the future years, which will strengthen its position in the market.
