Samsung is now anticipated to bring massive tweaks and more customization options to the Quick Panel with the next One UI 8.5 update.
Last month, Samsung announced that it would start rolling out the stable Android 16-based One UI 8 update to eligible Galaxy devices in September, and that happened too, as it has already delivered the update to several devices, including the Galaxy S25 series, Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6 & Flip 6, Galaxy A56, Galaxy A36, and more.
Meanwhile, the One UI 8.5 leaks started surfacing online, revealing major upcoming upgrades, tweaks, and enhancements. An X user @wr3cckl3ss has shared a few screenshots of the Quick Panel on One UI 8.5, revealing upcoming upgrades.
According to the user, the Quick Panel on One UI 8.5 will let you move, resize, and remove any shortcuts, which means that if you frequently use Wi-Fi or mobile data, you can also enlarge these buttons for faster operations.
Although these customization options seem quite similar to what Apple introduced on iOS 18 and Google on Android 16. Since Samsung has yet to reveal anything regarding this quick panel upgrade, it remains to be seen whether the leaked report will come true.
The company is expected to initially introduce the One UI 8.5 on the Galaxy S26 series in early 2026, followed by a gradual rollout to other devices.
