It looks like Samsung has started the expansion of the stable One UI 8 update for the Galaxy phone owners who have apparently participated in the latest in the beta program. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 models were also part of the beta program, and now, the folding phones are finally getting the stable update in the US.
Following two beta releases, Samsung has started delivering the stable One UI 8 update for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 owners in the US, while it was earlier limited to South Korea. This apparently suggests that the wider rollout for the foldables is expected to begin in the near future.
Specifically, the latest stable Android 16-based firmware for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 has been identified with the version numbers F956USQU2CYI7 and F741USQU2CYI6, respectively, which are available for both the carrier-locked and unlocked models in the US. At the same time, the update for the unlocked models carries F956U1UEU2CYI7 and F741U1UEU2CYI6, respectively.
Samsung’s One UI 8 version, however, doesn’t appear to be as massive as One UI 7 but is significantly topped up with the excellence of Android 16 that takes the user experience to the next level.
It brings all new UI elements while also adding the most prominent upgrades to the productivity, security & privacy, accessibility, multitasking, camera upgrades, and other relevant improvements in order to offer a smoother and more seamless performance to the users.
At the same time, the stable update for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 is now available in South Korea and the US, allowing users to download the latest version on their devices through Settings >> Software update >> Download and install.
