Samsung shared its Galaxy Phone’s camera innovation journey via infographics

Samsung is one of the brands that rule the smartphone market in terms of camera technology, and today it has shared its 15-year-long camera innovation journey via infographics.

Samsung, on its official Newsroom, shared a long-standing innovative smartphone camera technology journey and said that it has always been a brand in the smartphone industry that remains one step ahead in terms of mobile cameras: “Always one step ahead.”

The company initiated the journey 15 years ago, in 2010, with the “Galaxy S” model, and then each year it introduced the upgraded version, which made a series, up to the latest Galaxy S25 Ultra

Noticeably, each of the smartphones brought a camera upgrade over time and set new benchmarks in the global smartphone market; for instance, the Galaxy S4 Zoom with 10x optical zoom, the Galaxy S7 with a dual-pixel 12MP camera, and the Galaxy S20 Ultra with 8K video at 24 fps were the world’s first smartphones.

Regarding this revolutionary journey, the company mentioned, “For the past 15 years, Samsung has always been one step ahead, pushing mobile photography to new heights and ushering in a new era of Galaxy camera technology.”

The statement is quite true, as from the Galaxy S’s 5MP rear camera in 2010 at the initial stage of the smartphone era to the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s 200MP ultra-high-resolution camera, 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and suite of Galaxy AI editing features, the company has continuously upgraded what a smartphone camera can do.
