Samsung Electronics has always strived to evolve into certain health management solutions that could address most critical health problems by advancing wearable technology. Since the Galaxy Watch 8 series is designed to detect some serious health issues earlier, the company is making a bold move towards heart and brain health innovations.
In case you missed it! Samsung has previously explained how the Galaxy Watch 8 series comes with a unique sensor that can detect certain major health problems as early as possible.
Now, the company is up to enhancing its Galaxy Watches further and taking a big step towards advancements for preventive care of heart and brain health in the future.
First up, Samsung says that its Galaxy Wearables will soon be able to early detect and monitor the Left Ventricular Systolic Dysfunction (LVSD), which is a serious cardiovascular condition and is responsible for approximately 50% of heart failures that can be more deadly than some cancers. In collaboration with Medical AI, the Korean medical device company, Samsung has already deployed AI algorithms for over 120,000 patients across 100 major hospitals in Korea on a monthly basis.
Other than that, the company is also looking towards making advancements in brain-computer interface (BCI) technologies, and thus the company has partnered with Hanyang University’s Department of Biomedical Engineering in order to design an around-the-ear electroencephalogram (EEG) prototype model that brings out unmatched wearability and accuracy.
Also, this device will significantly capture high-quality signals via electrodes placed around the ear and can easily detect drowsiness and analyze video preferences.
Well, Samsung is focusing on redefining the future of health care and well-being of its Galaxy audiences, delivering innovative technologies that are tailored to every single experience of the patient dealing with major health problems.
