Samsung announced the expansion of its partnership with Coinbase in the US to offer more options for managing investments and accessing money on its easy-to-use and secure platform, Samsung Wallet.
In case you missed it, Coinbase helps to buy, store, and trade different cryptocurrencies, whereas Coinbase One is a fee-based plan for premium features and services. Initially, in July this year, Samsung added the ability to buy crypto directly in the Wallet app using Samsung Pay, which allows Galaxy users to fund their accounts and prevents them from taking extra steps.
The company reveals that Samsung Wallet users in the US can now sign up for a free three-month trial of the Coinbase One subscription, which seems quite significant, as it includes exclusive partner offers.
Noticeably, Samsung Wallet users have the chance to receive a free $25 credit after placing their first trade on Coinbase. Drew Blackard, Senior Vice President of Mobile Product Management at Samsung Electronics America, stated, “Millions of Galaxy users rely on their smartphone to complete everyday tasks, and that goes far beyond communication—it’s paying in-store, unlocking a car, showing an ID, and more. Samsung Wallet enables each of these experiences, and we’re continuing to expand its functionality.”
Samsung Wallet now offers several convenient options to enhance user experience, such as allowing users to view their crypto holdings, make mobile transactions, installment payments, and peer-to-peer transfers, and also consolidate users’ digital essentials, including IDs, membership, digital keys, and more.
