Samsung Begins Stable One UI 8.0 Rollout: Check Galaxy Devices

With One UI 8, Samsung has adopted a totally different software approach after a long, frustrating delay with the One UI 7 stable release. Indeed, the latest Android 16-based version may not be as massive as the previous software, but Samsung has significantly infused some key features that One UI 7 lacked; basically, One UI 8 is a significant upgrade over its predecessor.

The entire One UI 8 journey

One UI 8’s journey has remained exciting so far. In short, Samsung announced One UI 8, which is powered by Android 16 on top, a couple of months ago, leaving the Galaxy audiences stunned as the release matches the rollout timeline of Google’s Android 16 OS, where Samsung’s One UI 8 initially entered into its beta stage.

Meanwhile, Samsung pulled off the One UI 8 beta program at the end of May this year, starting from the current flagships, the Galaxy S25 series. In August, the company announced the expansion of the One UI 8 beta program for more older-generation devices while also assuring that the stable release will be kicked off in the month of September for the Galaxy S25 lineup and will be followed by more models over the course of time.

It’s amazing that Samsung stood by its promise and delivered the stable One UI 8 update for the Galaxy S25 family on the scheduled time after delivering a total of seven beta builds for the lineup. Now that the stable release is already on point and is continuously reaching as many models as it can, here’s the list of Galaxy devices that have already received the stable version so far.

At the same time, One UI 8 has indeed brought several significant upgrades, including several enhancements to its proprietary Galaxy AI suite alongside adding new features like Browsing Assist, generative edit, Audio Eraser, and Now Brief. Other than that, the update brings a refreshed design and UI changes to My Files, Reminder, and Calendar with all-new layouts, and the update further adds a new Call Captions feature, a revamped Quick Share, and many other essential improvements as well.
