A week ago, Samsung rolled out the latest Android 16-based stable One UI 8 update for the Galaxy Tab S10 series; however, it was only limited to the company’s home country, South Korea, and now, the update is reaching the tablets more widely.
Samsung’s previous generation tablets, the Galaxy Tab S10+ and Tab S10 Ultra, started getting the stable One UI 8.0 update, which is now available in the international markets, including India, the UK, and the US, and is identified with the version numbers X82*BXXU4CYI5 and X92*BXXU4CYI5, respectively.
It’s important to note that Samsung is distributing the stable update for both Wi-Fi and 5G variants of the Galaxy Tab S10 series. At the same time, One UI 8 has significantly added new UI elements such as more improved widgets and intuitive design and layouts that are powered by Android 16 and take the entire user experience to the next level.
Also, the update further adds various functionalities that are designed to adopt the large screen form factor of the tablets, including enhanced Samsung DeX, improved Quick Panel, and enhanced Galaxy AI features such as Browsing Assist, Now Bar, Now Brief, and Drawing Assist, alongside a more refined My Files, Calendar and Reminder, Samsung Internet, and Weather.
Other than that, the latest stable update further integrates the September 2025 security patch that focuses on improving the device’s overall security and core functionality while also protecting the device against potential threats for a more secure, smooth, and efficient user experience.
Well, Samsung is currently focusing on a wider release of the stable One UI 8 update for its Galaxy phones. Simultaneously, the company is also developing its upcoming OS, One UI 8.5, behind closed doors, which is supposed to run the Android 16 QPR2 build on top and not the Android 16 version, thus bringing several features of the Android ecosystem to the Galaxy devices.
