Samsung brought the Galaxy Z Fold 7 with some exciting yet interesting features that apparently take the user experience to the next level, while also holding the excellence of the Android 16-based One UI 8 version. Meanwhile, Galaxy Z Fold 6 owners can make their folding phone look like the current Galaxy Z Fold 7.
Of course, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 is a generation older than the current Fold 7, but there’s a small workaround that can make your previous foldable look more or less identical to the Fold 7; here we are talking about the UDC, in particular.
Since the Galaxy Z Fold 6 is the last generation folding phone to feature UDC, or Under Display Camera, technology, the newer Galaxy Z Fold 7 dropped the UDC function due to its high-resolution 10MP selfie snapper, which is bound in an Infinity-O display cutout.
Indeed, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 has been in the spotlight since its launch, leaving the S25 Ultra behind in the sales records, which apparently suggests that the exceptional design of the Fold 7 is attracting a large fan base worldwide. People might be wishing their Galaxy Z Fold 6 could look similar to the Fold 7’s design, and that’s possible by hiding the UDC.
This transformation of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 into the Fold 7 is possible via the Good Lock and its MultiStar app. Users can easily get the similar Z Fold 7’s Infinity-O effect on their Fold 6 models; just open the Good Lock app on the Galaxy Z Fold 6, get into the MultiStar module, and turn on the UDC with the black option under the I Love Galaxy Foldable section.
After enabling the option, the pixels that have covered the under-display camera will always remain black in color, instead of adopting whatever is shown on the screen at that particular moment. Well, this small trick certainly helps in converting your Galaxy Z Fold 6 into the Fold 7 model; users can either hide the UDC or unhide it at any time they wish to.
