One UI 8.5 Beta Program Coming Soon — Launch Planned for End of Next Month

Samsung is gearing up for One UI 8.5 and is now anticipated to beta program by the end of next month, as a new report exclusively revealed.

It’s almost confirmed that Samsung will introduce the stable One UI 8.5 with the Galaxy S26 series in early next year. The company has yet to finish the One UI 8.0 rollout for all the eligible Galaxy devices; meanwhile, a new report started teasing the beta program timeline for the upcoming update.

One of our colleagues, SamMobile, exclusively reported that Samsung will launch the One UI 8.5 beta program later this year. It also claimed on the timeline, according to which the beta could start in the final week of November, which will begin on the 24th.

Reportedly, the company is unnecessarily holding a beta program for the upcoming mid-cycle One UI 8.5 update, as the traditional One UI release schedule has been disrupted, i.e., One UI 7.0 arriving in April 2025 instead of late 2024 and skipping a point release (One UI 7.1) completely and directly jumping to One UI 8.

Now it seems that the One UI 8.5 beta is happening for a reason, as it will be the version that the next Galaxy S flagship arrives with. It will be interesting to see how widely Samsung will expand the One UI 8.5 beta program. It’s expected that the usual countries that are always a part of any One UI beta program will be included in this beta program.
