Samsung Galaxy S22 users, the company has suddenly paused the Android 16-based One UI 8 update for your devices due to a technical error.
A few days back, Samsung began rolling out the stable One UI 8 update for the Galaxy S22 series after a long wait. Although now, suddenly, the update has disappeared from the OTA server, suggesting that the company may have discovered system bugs o][r performance issues in the early stages of release.
A user @Koram_Akhilesh shared a post on X, claiming that the One UI 8 update for the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra is no longer available for download. This suggests that the company has expected to withdraw the update to check for errors and optimize the software before widely rolling it out.
However, Samsung hasn’t notified the Galaxy S22 series users regarding the withdrawal of the One UI 8 stable. Reportedly, experts say that the reason behind this temporary move is to ensure a stable experience for users.
Withdrawing the rollout after the first phase is a common thing in major updates, especially when the update brings several interface changes, Galaxy AI, UI enhancements, and more. Noticeably, the Galaxy S22 users who have already updated their smartphones to One UI 8 can continue to use them normally. Users who haven’t been waiting for the update will receive it as soon as the rollout resumes.
