Samsung Galaxy Fans are eagerly waiting for the next-generation Galaxy S26 series, which is now anticipated to face a two-month delay from its usual launch timeline.
Ritually, Samsung launches its latest Galaxy S-series each year in early Q1; for instance, the Galaxy S24 was launched on January 17, 2024, and this year, the Galaxy S25 launched on January 22.
Following the same structure, the upcoming Galaxy S26 series was supposed to launch sometime between January and February 2026. However, it’s not the case anymore, as a new report claims that the launch could be a two-month delay from the usual timeline.
A new report from TechManiacs exclusively reveals that Samsung will postpone the launch of the Galaxy S26 series to March 2026; however, it’s not officially confirmed yet. According to the report, the reason behind this delay is due to the development of the standard Galaxy S26 version, as Samsung is dropping the “Pro” name and has not yet completed the final camera configuration. It’s already reported that the company will not use the “Pro” suffix for the Galaxy S26 (base) model.
In case it happens, then it could affect the usual Galaxy Unpacked events timeline; for instance, if the Galaxy S26 Unpacked event shifted to March, it could delay the Galaxy Z series Unpacked event as well as affect the sales of the flagship at the beginning of the year.
However, Samsung has yet to release any official statement regarding this report; it will be interesting to see whether the report will come true, and if it does, what consequences the company will face.
