Samsung’s One UI 8 update is already in progress; meanwhile, the company is also continuing with the October 2025 security update rollout for its Galaxy devices, and currently, two of its premium flagships, the Galaxy S24 and S23 series, have joined the list, as the update is starting to roll out for the devices.
However, Samsung has pulled the One UI 8 rollout for both the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S23 families. At the same time, the company is currently delivering the October 2025 security update for the devices, starting in South Korea, and it’s expected that the update will expand to even more countries over the coming weeks.
Specifically, the latest firmware for the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra has been identified with the S921NKSSACYJ3, S926NKSSACYJ3, and S928NKSSACYJ3 version numbers, respectively. On the other hand, the Galaxy S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra models come with S918NKSS6EYJ7, S916NKSS6EYJ7, and S918NKSS6EYJ7 version numbers, respectively.
Meanwhile, the latest update is just an October 2025 security update, which, however, doesn’t bring any major features or changes; instead, it significantly improves the device’s overall security, functionality, and performance in order to provide a secure user experience, while also protecting the device against potential threats.
Other than that, the update further adds stability and reliability to the entire system behavior, and brings certain performance optimizations that apparently lead to a smoother, efficient, and optimized experience for the users.
