Samsung has been moving continuously with the latest Android 16-based One UI 8 rollout for all of its eligible Galaxy devices; meanwhile, the Galaxy Tab S8 series just joined the update process, but it’s currently limited to the company’s home country.
Beginning with South Korea, Samsung is starting to roll out a software update for the Galaxy Tab S8, Galaxy S8+, and Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra that essentially integrates the One UI 8 build.
The update for the devices is identified with the version numbers X700XXU9EYJ4, X800XXU9EYJ4, and X900XXU9EYJ4, respectively, and a wider availability is expected over the coming weeks.
Well, Samsung’s One UI 8 update is powered by Android 16, which apparently brings a sleek and intuitive design with vibrant colors, streamlined widgets, and optimized layouts, which eventually takes the entire user experience to the next level. At the same time, the update further brings upgrades for productivity, security & privacy, and accessibility for a smoother and efficient performance.
Other than that, the update is topped up with the September 2025 security patch that focuses on improving the device’s overall security, core functionality, and performance, while also protecting the device against potential threats to provide a more secure user experience.
Nevertheless, the One UI 8 update for the Galaxy Tab S8 series is now available in South Korea; thus, users can download the latest version via Settings >> Software update >> Download and install.
