Samsung seems all set to launch its very first multi-folding smartphone by the end of this week at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) 2025 summit.
Initially, it was expected that Samsung would launch its Galaxy Tri-Fold at the July Unpacked event this year, but the expectations did not come true. However, after the event, Samsung discussed during the (Q2) 2025 earnings call in late July, officially announced that it will launch the Galaxy Tri-Fold by the end of this year; however, it didn’t reveal the exact date.
A few days back, it was reported that Samsung could launch the Galaxy Tri-Fold during the APED 2025 summit, which will take place from October 31 to November 1. Meanwhile, a new report from the Korea Herald reveals that the same launch timeline of the tri-folding phone, i.e., the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit on October 31.
The APEC 2025 summit will take place in Gyeongju, North Gyeongsang Province, South Korea, from October 31 to November 1.
Currently, the device is in mass production and could go on sale by the end of this year, and is expected to be priced around $2,800, which is nearly $1,000 markup over the recently launched Galaxy Z Fold 7.
Samsung is reported to launch the device in selected markets, including Korea, Greater Chinese markets (Singapore and Taiwan), and the UAE (possibly). There’s no possibility the device will be available in the US market.
