Samsung Galaxy S26 series’ launch is back on the usual timeline!

Samsung is back on track for the upcoming Galaxy S26 series launch, as the newly revealed launch timeline says it will go official at the end of January 2026.

It has been a couple of months since the Korean tech giant began working on the Galaxy S26 series, which is set to launch in 2026. Initially, it was reported that the company is considering rebranding the Galaxy S26 models; for instance, the base model will be called ‘Pro’, the Plus model will be replaced with the Edge.

Meanwhile, a few reports suggest that due to the lower sales rate of the Galaxy S25 Edge, Samsung will drop the plan to replace the Galaxy S26+ with the Edge, and there will be no Pro model. Based on this instant change, it was suggested that Samsung could face a delay in the launch of the Galaxy S26 series.

Last week, it was reported that the Galaxy S26 series will be announced on 25 February 2026, at the Galaxy Unpacked event in San Francisco, and sales will start in the first week of March.

Now, a new report from ChosunBiz has revealed that Samsung has resolved all the delays, clearing the way for the timely launch of the Galaxy S26 series. The source familiar with the matter stated, “The release was almost delayed due to the longer hardware verification period by removing the edge and adding a plus model, but this problem has been resolved, and the release is now possible in February next year.”

The report claims that, while not an official confirmation, this raises hope that the next-gen Samsung flagships won’t face a delay.
