The Samsung Galaxy S26 series is anticipated to launch in 2026; meanwhile, the base variant of the lineup is now reported to measure just 6.9mm in thickness and feature Qi 2.0 Magnets.
The Korean tech giant is actively working on its next-generation Galaxy S26 lineup, which will include at least three variants, as mentioned below –
- Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26 Plus, and Galaxy S26 Ultra
Last week, it was reported that Samsung would announce the Galaxy S26 series on February 25, 2026, at the Galaxy Unpacked event in San Francisco, and sales will start in the first week of March.
Meanwhile, a reliable tipster, @UniverseIce, shared a post via his X handle, claiming that the standard variant of the lineup, i.e., Galaxy S26, could measure just 6.9mm in thickness, which makes it slimmer than its predecessor, Galaxy S25, with 7.2mm thickness.
The tipster also attached an image in the post, showcasing that the Galaxy S26 could feature Qi2 magnets. However, Samsung hasn’t revealed any official information regarding the thickness and Qi2 magnet support of the Galaxy S26 yet. It remains to be seen whether this report will come true.
The Galaxy S26 is expected to be powered by the in-house Exynos 2600 chipset in most markets, while in other markets like the US, it will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.
