Samsung is now considering offering a 25W wireless charging upgrade to the next-generation Galaxy S26 Ultra, as the report says.
The Korean tech giant is actively working on its next flagship Galaxy S26 series, for which it is expecting to offer every possible upgrade compared to the predecessor series. If the new report is to be believed, Samsung is considering offering a notable wireless charging upgrade to the upcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra.
Since 2020, starting with the Galaxy S20 series, to this year’s Galaxy S25 series, Samsung has been offering 15W wireless charging support. Now, a new report claims that the company is looking forward to offering 25W wireless charging support to the upcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra, while the Standard and Plus models will feature 20W.
The 25W wireless charging support will shorten charging times by 40% compared to 15W, as it is expected to take 60 minutes to fully charge the smartphone. However, the official statement regarding this upgrade has yet to be revealed; it will be interesting to see whether this leak will come into existence.
Samsung is reported to power the Galaxy S26 Ultra with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 globally, while the base and plus models will be equipped in-house Exynos 2600 chipset.
A few days back, it was also rumored that the device would support 60W charging speed, and would charge at 55W for the first 15%, then drop to 45W until the battery reaches 70% charge.
