Samsung to focus most on Galaxy Z Flip 8 in 2026, aiming to increase its sales

Samsung is now looking forward to increasing the sales of foldable phones by 10% next year, compared to this year, and most of its development resources will be on the Galaxy Z Flip 8.

The Korean tech giant is actively working to maintain its leading position in the foldable industry by introducing more innovative devices with smarter cameras, advanced features, a slim & decent design, and other enhancements to compete with rivals.

If the company continues its Galaxy Z lineup, then it will launch the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Flip 8 in Q3 2026. Meanwhile, a new report from The Bell, surfacing online, reveals that Samsung is now considering selling nearly 6.7 million foldable devices in 2026, representing significant growth compared to 2025.

According to the report, Samsung plans to increase sales by 10% in 2026, and this time it will shift its focus mostly to the Galaxy Z Flip 8, rather than the Galaxy Z Fold 8.

Reportedly, the Galaxy Z Flip 8 is expected to be 10% thinner and lighter than its predecessor, the Galaxy Z Flip 7. However, the report hasn’t mentioned whether Samsung is considering upgrading the camera and battery capacity of the device; it is more likely to aim to optimize durability and user experience, two key factors in its foldable product line.

Since Samsung hasn’t revealed its strategy for 2026 foldable phones, it remains to be seen whether this report will come true.
