Samsung predicts 2030 will be a crucial year for Galaxy foldables

Samsung is considering bringing a new revolution (explosive growth) to the foldable market in a few years later in 2030, as a new report says.

The Korean tech giant is actively working on expanding its foldable family and maintaining its leading position in the global foldable market by bringing more innovative products integrated with smarter camera, slim design, advanced features, and whatnot.

A few months back, Samsung launched the seventh-generation foldable phones, Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, which set a new sales benchmark. Now, the company is setting up to officially launch its first multifolding Galaxy Z Tri-Fold smartphone next month on December 5th.

Meanwhile, a new report from YonhapNews revealed that Samsung Display’s CEO, Yi Chung, predicted an “explosive growth” in foldables in 2030. The company is also gearing up to shift its focus to the premium flexible OLED display market.

Regarding this prediction, Yi Chung quoted as saying by Samsung Display, “As we expect an explosive growth in the foldable market in 2030, we plan to lead sales based on our distinctive technology leadership.”

Apart from this, he also revealed a notable fact that Samsung Display is also working hard to maintain the productivity of its production lines for the new 8.6-gen OLED display for tablets and monitors, which is highly anticipated to begin commercialization next year.
