One UI 8.5 has something new for the Galaxy Foldables, suggests report

Samsung’s One UI 8.5 has been the talk of the town for the past few months, with certain leaks, in particular, suggesting a possible vision of how the upcoming software is taking shape. While the company is already internally testing the newest build for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 models, here’s a fresh report showing off some new changes for the Galaxy foldables.

According to the details provided by SamMobile, there are, however, not as many changes as expected, but significantly, the latest build brings a few changes that are curated for a smoother user experience for the foldable form factor or people who loves Samsung’s folding phones.

Essentially, with One UI 8.5, Samsung is changing the behavior of the notifications, where users will be able to experience a slight change, as the shade remains aligned to a specific position from the place it has been dropped down, from left, right, or center.

At the same time, the keypad in the Phone app is now accessible directly from the call logs screen and displays as a pop-up rather than appearing like a full dialer.

Other than that, apparently, the latest One UI 8.5 firmware also hides some key features, such as:

However, the source further clarified that there are, however, no other major changes or features added within the latest One UI 8.5 firmware. Well, the latest build is currently in its early stages of development. Nevertheless, it remains to be seen whether Samsung plans to add such changes when the official One UI 8.5 version is released.
