Samsung is now considering integrating its own voice assistance, Bixby, with Perplexity, likely introduced on the Galaxy S26 series, as reported.
For months, Samsung has been in the news with Perplexity regarding their expected collaboration, and more. It’s already been reported that the Korean tech giant could collaborate with Perplexity, aiming to introduce a new AI Assistant. Last month, Samsung announced that it is gearing up to integrate the AI assistant Perplexity into 2025 TVs and monitors.
Previous reports have claimed that the upcoming Galaxy S26 could get a triple AI boost with ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity. Meanwhile, a tipster, @chunvn8888, shared a post on X, claiming that Samsung will integrate Bixby with Perplexity.
According to the post, basic tasks will be handled by Bixby while complex ones, which take more thinking capabilities, will be solved by Perplexity. This is similar to how ChatGPT and Apple Intelligence are integrated and work.
The tipster mentioned that Samsung could debut this upgraded version of Bixby during the Galaxy S26 series Unpacked event, which hints that the device series could also get the novelty.
Recently, Perplexity launched its AI browser Comet on Galaxy devices, which acts as a personal assistant and performs various tasks, such as automating tasks, researching the web, organizing your email, and more.
