Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is now again in the news regarding its battery charging upgrade, as a new unreleased One UI 8.5 code confirmed the super charging 3.0 for the device.
The Korean tech giant is actively working on its next-generation Galaxy S26 series and software iteration, One UI 8.5. Recently, it’s been reported that Samsung is considering offering a battery upgrade, i.e., 5,200mAh, to the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
Practically, it’s not a major battery upgrade in numbers, but the company has been sticking to a 5,000mAh battery since the Galaxy S20 Ultra, which makes it a notable upgrade.
Meanwhile, one of our reliable colleagues, Android Authority, revealed that a leaked One UI 8.5 build confirms the charging speed boost coming to the Galaxy S26 Ultra. According to the report, the leaked One UI 8.5 build includes the “Super fast charging 3.0” string.
The spotted string refers to a new Level 4 charging tier, right above the current 45W Level 3 entry. Notably, the report hasn’t mentioned anything regarding 60W. However, the exact official announcement regarding the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s battery boost has yet to be released; it remains to be seen whether the expectations will come true.
It’s already been confirmed that Samsung will power the Galaxy S26 Ultra with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 globally. A most recent report reveals that the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s Black color model will feature a matching Black frame.
