Samsung partners with Turkish Airlines to elevate Galaxy users’ travel experience

Samsung announced that it is collaborating with Turkish Airlines to help you find lost luggage conveniently, as it allows you to share the Galaxy SmartTag’s location tracking line with the airlines.

Both of these firms, Samsung and Turkish Airlines, have introduced the “Smart Tagged Baggage Service”, which conveniently helps passengers to easily track and find lost or delayed baggage using the Galaxy SmartTag and the SmartThings Find service.

Samsung’s SmartThings Find is based on Bluetooth Low Energy (LE) and Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technology, which allows it to locate registered Samsung Galaxy devices. It is compatible with a network of 700 million Galaxy devices to track and locate phones, tablets, smartwatches, Galaxy Buds, and Galaxy SmartTags.

This collaboration will be efficient for Turkish Airlines to succor baggage with Galaxy SmartTag when passengers include a link with location data in their lost baggage report. For more convenience, passengers can also use the “Change Device Image” feature in SmartThings Find to register a photo of their actual luggage in the app.
