Samsung has yet to cover a handful of Galaxy devices for the November patch; meanwhile, the company has just released the details of the latest December 2025 security update for its smartphones and tablets.
The Korean smartphone manufacturer is already releasing a monthly security maintenance release (SMR), which includes a number of patches from both Google and Samsung. At the same time, Google patches have been applied to the latest SMR package, the December 2025 security update.
Specifically, Google patches include various CVEs, where there are 6 critical CVEs, 51 High-level CVEs, 2 CVEs that are already included in previous updates, and 14 CVEs that are not applicable to Samsung phones. This eventually leads to a smoother, stable, and efficient performance by focusing on improving the device’s overall security and functionality.
However, this time, the latest December 2025 security update package doesn’t include Samsung Semiconductor patches. Accompanied by Google patches, Samsung Mobile brings 11 Samsung Vulnerabilities and Exposures (SVE) to provide a secure user experience, while also protecting the device against external threats. These SVEs include vulnerability in the bootloader, the Dynamic lockscreen, and more.
Well, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Flip 3 models whose software support has ended from Samsung’s software update policy are, thankfully, back again. Nevertheless, it looks like Samsung has mistakenly removed both the folding phones, as both devices are still eligible to receive the security patches according to their official update policy.
